It's July now. Still a long way to go but have you guys decided?

This discussion thread was locked by Number23 (a host of the African American group).

Does everyone know who they're supporting yet for president?

Who's getting your vote?

Clinton
O'Malley
Sanders
Chafee
Webb
Undecided
Other

Polls are for star members only and I haven't been a star member in so many years, I can't even remember.

Would love to hear from ALL of the regulars here, but especially the black ones! Who are you supporting and why?

I'm Sanders, then O'malley. For Clinton I'll get out if bed that day, but if it's Webb I'm moving to Canada.

I'm Sanders just cause I like his personality and positions. O'malley too.

I can delete or lock this OP and you could do one with a poll.

Webb seems to have forgotten which nomination he's going for. His deep concern for the Confederate flag and its supporters is just special.

want is HRC. Jury is still out on all the others. Why I don't want her? She is a wall street tool that will throw us under the bus as soon as her handlers tell her too, just like billieboy did. It's becoming clearer and clearer.

10. Hillary is killing it with the black vote but there is still a crapload of work she needs to do

Lots of folks will never forget her dog whistling during the 2008 campaign.

I don't share the belief that Bill threw black folks under the bus. Alot more black folks went to jail under Clinton but ALOT more black folks also went to college under him. Under Clinton is when alot of black folks felt they were finally getting the tiniest sliver of the American dream and I can't discredit or fault so many for feeling that way.

I posted this question because I just saw someone say that there are more black supporters for Bernie Sanders on DU than for Hillary Clinton and I was curious if that was actually true.

bill may have done some good granted. But since he's past tense in the POTUS sense, I won't quibble about his achievements or lack of. I just don't trust HRC at all, in any respect.

Personally, I found her tenure at State to be fairly unremarkable. She had alot of really public missteps that I think for someone as seasoned as she is, should have been avoided.

What I did like about her time at State was how vocal she was at getting same sex couples there the same level of protection as hetero couples. The American Ambassador to Australia is a gay man and a tremendous person. http://canberra.usembassy.gov/ambassador.html
