My thoughts on this post-Zimmerman trial America ...

What will/has changed in our America, post-Zimmerman trial?

I suggest ... not much! Black people will continue living our lives, as we always have.

Black men will continue to be seen as "suspicious others" in our own communities and generally seen as "dangerous" to approximately half the U.S. population. And no verdict will change that.

Black parents will continue to teach our children that being in the right and minding their own business is not a shield from those that will see you as a threat.

White liberals will doi as they always do ... rage about this outrage until the next outrage pushes this outrage off the front page and off their minds.

The only thing change I expect to find is white conservatives/white cowards/white socio-paths will now feel empowered to kill at the least provocation. But sadly, and as with all other things in America, when something is widely acceptable to/ignored by the vast majority of white Americans, it soon finds itself occuring in white communities.

Michael Dunn, white, killed 17 yr old Jordan Davis, black, in Florida. If they don't find this asshole Dunn guilty then I think this country is sunk.

I don't think they will. Same region - if he gets an all white jury - he's going to walk. We can't beat them (conservative bigots) in criminal courts when we are victims. The laws are not designed to protect black Americans.

I have come to one conclusion.

Race is a problem for white people to solve. If black people or brown people could have made racism go away it would have long since disappeared back into the nothing-ness from which it came.

Nah, it’s on white folks to make the necessary moves to kill and bury, once and for all, the notion of race. I think in a generation or two this just might happen.

For one thing no small part of the fear rising in the hearts of some our finest race-baiting carbon units is the realization that within a generation they will be the minority. This idea causes folk like Pat Buchanan to go to sleep at night clutching at his gonads. He’s been ringing the white folks we’re about to be outnumbered bell for a really long time. With the election of America’s first black president, many of the dull-normals suddenly got it.

In the America they grew up in, such a thing was not possible. A black president was not a notion the mouth-breathers ever considered. It couldn’t happen. For one thing the expectation was white people would never go for it. I still remember the old southern white man who said during the election season last year "I’m voting for the nigger." Even so, he was in the minority.

The majority of white people in this country voted for dumb and dumber. They were willing to be led by two people who couldn’t find their butts with a flashlight and a map.

We know this has been going on forever, we think we have changed something then it comes back to slam us full in the face again.

It is happening rapidly, America is under attack from all sides, issues, such as justice for Trayvon and all people of color, women's rights, gay rights, our rights!

However look at what we are seeing.

People are Standing Up. They are standing proudly. People are angry and it is showing.

I cannot believe this will go down without a fight.

I think the other side is dying. Slowly yes, but they are dying.
