Lynching Clarence Thomas...

I am watching the movie, "Confirmation", and I was reminded of what the idiot said about being lynched.

Race only matters to Clarence when he can use it, per a line in the movie.

If a Clarence Thomas or an openly gay hater or openly black hater was appointed by a republican, the current republicans would still support that person.

1. His whole attitude about affirmative action when he was in law school is astonishing.

So he resented people possibly feeling he didn't belong there because of the other less accomplished black students that got in. As if he could have overcame all the obstacles all by himself, being such a stellar prospect, and ended up being the only one on campus?

So then all the racists would have admired him and accepted him as their equal I suppose? If anything, on his own with no other protection, they may have killed him. He played right into the hands of the very people that would still tie him to a tree and whip him over the woman he's with.

3. Also, he's an example of the GOP appointing a conservative to replace a liberal on the Supreme Court

The GOP has no compunction about tilting the Court their way but is violently opposed to a conservative being replaced by a moderate. Such hypocrisy.

him is that he is black. This attitude is well represented in other communities (i've got my medicare, so fuck your health issue. i've got my social security, so suddenly i give a shit about the deficit etc.), just rarer among black people and POC generally.
