OrganizeFor.org (from ColorofChange.org)

Just received this in email from ColorofChange.org:

For years we dreamed of creating a new platform where people like you, who have taken a stand with us time and time again, could do even more. A space that belonged to our members and the millions of Black people and our allies across the nation. We envisioned a new digital home for Black people's political activism- one that would mirror the town halls, mass meetings, rallies, kitchen tables and street corners that have been the sites of power building, strategy and real victories by and for Black people for generations. As we watched as the national movement for racial justice grew with a vigor and power beyond our wildest imagination — we knew the time had come.

This week our dream became a reality. I am excited to introduce OrganizeFor.org, the only online digital petition platform dedicated solely to strengthening the political power of Black people. Over the past ten years at ColorOfChange, we have seen what everyday Black people and their allies can do together when we stand up for justice. Now, we are opening up our toolset — the winning digital strategies that our team has honed over the years — so that you can make an impact where you live.

Once you launch your own petition on OrganizeFor, our team will work closely with you to turn an issue that directly impacts you and your community into a campaign that activates and mobilizes others in your state and all over the nation. If you have never started an online petition and have no experience in organizing or advocacy, OrganizeFor is the place for you. If you are an activist and have an increasing need for the digital tools to reach even more people, OrganizeFor is you. If you are eager for a digital space where you can connect and build with other folks across the country, welcome home!
