It's pretty obvious around here that Obama can't do anything right...

And receive objective praise about something, without someone coming around and treating him like The Blackenstein Monster.

Pitchforks and torches, every single day.

You think that I want to get into fights with these people? They're so emotionally draining, that they might as well be wearing capes and hanging upside down in the belfry.

And let's not forget the trolls, wrapped up in bandages, trying to cover themselves up, as they shamble through the site, bringing chaos and destruction. Quite a few have been here since the ancient times, only to rise out of their tombs for special occasions.

Then you have those who turn into hairy creatures when the moon turns full and when the wolf bane blooms, infecting others with vicious, biting rhetorical attacks against the President.

You know what? It doesn't have to be Fall around here to have Halloween. It's like that 365 days a year, but without any of the fun, like trick-or-treating.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Igors...

Every single bill from 2009 on sent to Obama has tried to get Keystone fast tracked. He has resisted it every way he could.

The GOP and Koch brothers know he has, they rave about it on their sites for not approving it and being a wild eyed liberal enviro-nazi!!!

But the uber Lefties don't want to know that he has resisted, in the line of the most dangerous manipulation being applied to get him to do it. Ain't that just so interesting?

I have posted extensively on this with many links over the years when I read the abuse.

They never reply, never change their tune, just go to another thread to post the same lies and misrepresentations.

Just check what they Rec and post and you know what they care about. It's always the same old libertarian talking points, nothing more, or else the 'former' Republicans who call the pack that get their Recs and their posts.

Just read one who carried on how Reagan was so much better than Obama, but says he's not bashing Obama!

If they do make a half ass retraction after a full bashing, it's only half ass and they never retract the bashing part.

Meh. They are dismissed.

That thread is essentially in support of a GOP investigation based on a news story that is several years old. Yes, just in time for 2014, and some of DU is busy cheering it in so many words, lots of outrage being expressed.

some of the 'attacks' on our current POTUS are hypocritically transparent as to the agenda behind the criticism. All I'm going to do is keep voting Democratic. All those transforming creatures who unjustly criticize our POTUS will be here. Nothing to do about that. Just attack back when lies are spread. Per your halloween analogy, they don't even wear costumes or sheets anymore to hide their faces. To me that's the revealing part.

Jon Stewart Blasts Fox New’s Traitorous, Hypocritical Praising of Putin

On The Daily Show Thursday night, Jon Stewart ripped the Fox News network’s near-orgasmic love-fest with Russian President Vladimir Putin and pointed out the hypocrisy of the GOP propaganda channel calling Putin a “real leader” while referring to President Obama as a “dictator” for supposedly doing the same sorts of things.

Stewart asked, “What happened to these people as children that has enabled this love-hate relationship with authoritarian figures and the inherent cognitive dissonance that goes along with such a schism?”

Stewart also highlighted the embellished stories about Putin’s supposed toughness, mentioning the story about Putin shooting a tiger that had been trapped and put to sleep.

“For God’s sakes,” he said. “How, in a 24-hour news cycle, do you upgrade Putin from wrestling bears to tigers, anyhow? By tomorrow, it’ll be, ‘Putin once smacked the teeth out of a great white shark and made it blow him, while Barack Obama just sat there, wistfully, wearing Capri pants and a baby bonnet.”

He then mocked Sean Hannity for fawning over a picture of a shirtless “big, strong muscular” Putin riding a horse while President Obama is pictured riding a bike with a safety hat on.

just now it's the bs claiming he was defending the war in IRaq when it was him responding to those who try to use that as an excuse for what Putin is doing.

these people were so hoping for a war in syria or anywhere else to get their martyr drama bs going . remember how angry they became when it didn't happen .

when he doesn't do what they want (in order for them to get their phony outrage on) they make up shit.

LaBeouf got it right .

personally i think this may also have to do with not being able to make money on things like books as during the Bush years.

those who hate Obama enough to buy things bashing him are teabag racists who hate him because he is black. one has to sell something really crazy and fucked up to get them to buy it also like selling those conspiracy theories about where he was born, who his bio father is, the gay thing and how he murdered his gay boyfriends and other bizarre crap.

but he had a few threads even before that like the one with the iraq vet at the SOTU and the Kerry one .

at the very least it's looking to be popular among a certain crowd and get views and recs .

a lot of people made money during the Bush years which they can't do as easily now. michael moore is a good example and it's one reason i think he was kind of hoping for Obama to lose .

BTW, I linked my OP on that to some posts. That's what I'll do more from now on out:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/110215862

Yes, I see them. I'm not fooled.

It's been a great ride here and I don't regret the great people here such as in this forum, but I'm going to email her and hope she's online this week, although I doubt it. She's got a very busy life offline and it's almost impossible to catch her on the phone.

I'll check it out and see if I can wipe the stench out of my mind for a while. I'm sure my troll fan club will see this and high five each other. I'll post until I find a better place than DU, just to keep my mind active, but won't be making much effort. I have a lot of OPs waiting to be posted, but, meh. Anyone wants to use what I have in my Journal as talking points, please do.

I'll drop in after I get settled, post some pieces from there and will surely miss the great features the Admins made here. This isn't a GBCW post, though. I'll be around.

This place will never support any Democratic campaign or our causes again. You cannot organize under such hostile conditions and speak freely as is needed for that. The nonstop negativity and the outright misinformation we have battled here has destroyed our creativity. Period.

It's a shame that the excellent technical achievement which Skinner, EarlG and Elad worked hard to create suffered a hostile Libertarian take over. The big money finally proved that money equals speech, not people, and they beat DU.

The fact they are winning with Koch money behind them only makes them feel more proud of what they've done here. They are building their Ron Paul nation at DU. They will get more bold as time goes on, I've already seen long-time posters kowtowing to them.

Think about that for a minute, please. I'm not encouraging anyone to go, but understand what is coming. So many have left here, too many. Their voices are no longer heard.

I don't believe there are many Democrats left here of any kind, as the 'hard left' have revealed themselves as Libertarians now. They played both sides agsainst the other and are laughing at the Admins now.

See you guys later.

My OP on no war in Ukraine, despite its flawed subject line. I would redo the OP to be more accurate, but live and learn.

The usual suspects came out to bash the President. It was telling who said absolutely nothing positive. I kept looking for certain names and never saw them. The OP bounced around in GD for quite a while. It wasn't like people didn't see it.

If you can't give the President any credit when it's due (and it's been due on many occasions), you get no credibility with me when you *might* have a legitimate critique. This place is thoroughly infested with RW trolls, stealth Republicans, stealth and open libertarians, and other people who don't give a rat's ass about the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party is our best hope for positive change in this country.
