1. I am sorry that happened to you

I had a post hidden somewhere for suggesting that we need a civilian group to monitor the police and use force if necessary like if you see a cop choking someone to death... It wasn't taken well. I specifically said do not interfer with legitimate police work and yes it can be a tough call too bad though having a badge shouldn't give a person the right to choke someone to death without being subjected to the same rules that apply to everyone else, that is someone else can defend the defenseless.
