Question for Hispanics/Latinos

I was thinking about the confederate monuments and the fact that most of them were not built immediately after the war. Most of them were built some time later after other regions and peoples of the country started questioning segregation. What they really were was an in your face to to the people who were criticizing the abuse of African Americans. Then it occurred to me that maybe the Southern border wall isn't just a wall to the ones who advocate it. My question is- what does the wall mean to you.

To me the wall just means more of the same. Just some excuse to keep the country divided into boxes.

What concerns me, is that most of the immigrants like the Hondurans are from countries we have overthrown. The fact that I pay taxes and how that money is being used to topple countries with "regime change" propaganda and meddling in their elections only to leave those countries destabilized and its people seeing refuge far from their homes and families. It's not ok and we have to start holding people accountable for this massive displacement of people and not just get distracted over a wall.

Also the fact that I'm responding to a question posted a few years ago, is telling of how many Latin@s are here.
