First the apology. This story took place in May 2012. The store has since re-opened. KILI posted a link on FB, and I'd supposed the story was current. I am sorry about that.
Second - A good explanation of the whole story is here: http://www.nativenewsnetwork.com/pine-ridge-grocery-store-closed-by-tribal-court.html
Third: your answer
The Sioux Nation Superstore at the Shopping Center is owned by the Oglala Sioux Tribe, but operated by Cohn Wholesale Fruit and Grocery, Inc., based in San Diego, California. It leases the store from the Oglala Sioux Nation. There was no answer at Cohn Wholesale Fruit and Grocery on Saturday.
