Related: About this forumWhat Fiction are you reading this week, October 13, 2024?

The time is right for some spooky story reading so I've got Full Wolf Moon by Lincoln Child. An "action-packed, white-knuckled novel, this is the perfect combination of exotic locales, provocative science, and raw action that we always can count on from Lincoln Child."
Listening to The Last Devil to Die by Richard Osman, the 4th Thursday Murder Club Mystery. The best Murder Club book yet. . . A poignant complement to both the fair-play mystery plot and the characters' lively humor.
Any spooky stories in your reading plans? Fiction, of course.

(6,822 posts)Thursday Murder Club another try with The Bullet That Missed. Much better characters than first series title as hermetic suggested.
Take your bow.
Palate cleansers: two Dick Francis, Trial Run and Hot Money. He is always so good.
Next up, Attica Lockes Heaven, My Home. When I get my nerve up. Im kinda scared of her.

(4,658 posts)Im almost finished. Its loosely based on Fleetwood Mac and the making of their album Rumors, which is one of my favorites. Loving this book, and looking forward to watching Primes adaptation.
Thank you for sharing.

(12,094 posts)the 13th, and last, book in Bernard Cornwells Saxon Tales. The series spans the time from 866 CE to (at least) 937 CE. Protagonist Uhtred Uhtredson ages from 10 years old to 81. In some respects, Uhtred is the Dave Robichaeux of medieval Englaland, still physically dominating his opponents long after his contemporaries have retired or died.
Ill finish it later today, and will have to find something to occupy me until the new Reacher novel comes out next week.
