Any other Phil Rickman fans here?

He wrote a great series about a female exorcist on the Welsh border who solves murders. Crazy, I know, but they were really well written and a terrific escape.

I am very saddened to learn he died. I have been a big fan for many years. His last book was delivered late and the addendum when it was published said he had been sick.

I emailed the address on his webpage, just to let him know I loved his books and hoped he had a speedy recovery.

I was shocked when he wrote me right back and thanked me, told me he had had a stroke but was improving and working on his next book.

I just went looking for the publication date of that book, and learned he had died.

I got hooked on him with Curfew. Three pages in and I thought, "Well, this is different." I've read everything since.

RIP.
