It really was a phenomenal journey, captured in compelling prose. Good for her!

I'm in the middle of The Secret History and can recognize the growth of her voice and art from this first work to the latest.

Her characters are so unusual and interesting and she really brings them to life.

I really enjoyed The Secret History, too.

was one of my favorite parts of the book.

It's a book I keep thinking about months after finishing it.

In today's NY Times Book Review, there's an interview with her, in which she says that "The Goldfinch" is one of several books she's currently reading.

14. I've been reading this for over a week now....

I am almost finished and parts of it are depressing to me because I'm feeling sorry for all this guy has gone through in his life. The prose is amazing though and it is very well written. Maybe summertime isn't the time to read something like this

15. No spoilers, but I think the ending is a nice payoff for all the hardships.

It is beautifully written, isn't it? And once again: I hope the movie does justice to the novel.
