Has anyone read, "Say Nothing"?

If you have, would you recommend it?

1. I have not read the book but it

is probably worth the $. I was always confused and troubled by the violence between the two Irelandís hatred of one another. Your question was enough to intrigue me. I am forever perplexed as to why emotions lead humans to violence. Guess I am naive. Scares me to think it could be happening here. Yes, I know we had a Civil War. Told you I was naive.

2. I read it

I barely got through it. If my daughter hadnít given it to me for Christmas, I would have never picked it up. So terribly, terribly sad.

However, I was determined to finish it. Discovered that we were visiting County Monaghan, where they brought the informers to be executed, a month before they arrived. My mother was born there. And I have a first cousin on my dads side who was involved with the Good Friday agreement.

I made an exception for this one, but I just canít read books about atrocities anymore.

3. I have it on reserve at the library, although

at the moment I have it frozen, and I'm not sure when I'll lift the freeze.

So many books, so little time.
