Three excellent books about immigration.

Among the books I've read in the last month or two are "Tell Me How It Ends," by Valeria Luiselli, "The Line Becomes a River," by Francisco Cantu, and "Dear America," by Jose Vargas. Luiselli is a Mexican author living in the US who has worked as an interpreter for the courts, interviewing detained refugee children. Cantu is an US citizen of Mexican descent who worked for the Border Patrol. Cantu is an undocumented person, whose family sent him to the US when he was very young (he didn't know he was undocumented until he attempted to get a driver's license). Each book offers a different perspective, and they all contain information and details that were new to me.

Given the current urgency of this topic, I'm guessing others might be interested to learn more, and I think these three books offer valuable insights.
