Has anyone else read "Unorthodox" by Deborah Feldman?

It's about a young Hasidic Jewish woman who left her community in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. It sounds like a dreary and deadly dull existence to me. I had no idea it was possible to be that isolated in the middle of NYC.
