Great book about skyjacking!

The Skies Belong to Us: Love and Terror in the Golden Age of Hijacking

http://www.amazon.com/Skies-Belong-Us-Terror-Hijacking/dp/0307886107/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1373255600&sr=1-1&keywords=the+skies+belong+to+us

It is amazing that once upon a time, airlines tolerated skyjackings since it was cheaper than having passengers be searched/scanned.
During 1972, there was a skyjacking every week...sometimes 2 a day!
Even kids as young as 14 were commandeering planes.

The book tells many stories but focuses on the one that finally made everybody say "enough"!

Highly recommended!

I'm looking forward to reading it.

Plus, I was an airline employee in the early 70's, so I was real aware of skyjackings. That's also why I have no use whatsoever for the TSA, and absolutely refuse to fly these days because I'm not willing to put up with the bullshit of the current security system. I can only hope I don't have someone die who lives on the other side of the country, forcing me to fly to attend a funeral.
