I thought, since we are all comic geeks here, I'd show off some pencilled pages I did of a mini series that I'm pencilling, Steve Bryant (of Athena Voltaire fame!) is writing and Mark Stegbauer is inking.

We have a tentative commitment from a largish publisher to do it as a minis series or as a graphic novel.

Even the "camera angles" are in keeping with the period.

All that's missing is the classic Film Noir type lighting. Like when they have the main light source outside of a window so the character is lit with the alternating light and dark stripes from the blinds in the window. Or the window frame is cast onto the floor.

All in all, outstanding character depictions and setting composition.

I know what you're talking about with the lighting and alot of that is going to come at the coloring stage.

Thanks for looking!

the graphic novel is a great vehicle for the darker more adult side of the comic book lit.

I try to keep the shots varied and interesting just to keep boredom from setting in.

it's still got a LONG way to go!

It's been a loooong hard struggle to get here and the sequential work is SO much harder than just doing single images.

I appreciate the comment.
