Have any of you been to ComicCon?

I'm fairly new to the comic nerd thing and just scored tickets for my first trip. What am I getting into?

2. I found it to be a bit boring, honestly

It's fun and cool at first.
After 2-3 hours, there was nothing more to see.
Not to mention that Hollywood has taken it over.
Like I care about a panel discussing THE RIVER?

3. I go there all the way from RI!

I've been to the San Diego con four times. It's cool and definitely a good experience. There are lots of panels, video game demos and movie previews. One side of the con is still devoted mostly to comics.

I personally like hanging out with the small press and artists there. Much less corporate and they really need the money.

Overall it's definitely worth attending, but I much prefer my small local comic conventions.
