I think you'll like this true story about a friend of mine

I just visited a friend that I only see about twice a year. He is in his early sixties and has white/grey hair and a full beard. He used to have just a mustache. The full beard was new, and you're gonna love reason why.

He told me he looked in the mirror one day and thought he was starting to resemble National Security Adviser John Bolton with just his mustache. And, since he "didn't want to look like an Islamophobic war monger" (his words), he decided to grow a full beard.

I thought it was great. He had me laughing out loud.

1. Great story. I get it -- Until trump, I probably despised Bolton more than any of today's GOPers.

About a year ago, so it’s almost back to college length.
And it was mainly to make sure no one thought this old white guy was a fucking Trumper like most of my neighborhood.

and then long hair was a pretty accurate indicator of someone's politics.
I remember walking by a TV one day around 1975 and it was showing the all too familiar scene of the"fascist police" harassing a bunch of "peaceful hippies." I stopped to watch my longhair brothers fighting back until the caption appeared at the bottom - Police Break Up KKK Rally.
I knew an era had passed; the fuckin Klan had long hair.
