I enjoy the show, and watch it with my kid. Glad to see another season coming up! At some point...

1. The show got much better after season 1 which was almost unwatchable
I really enjoyed this past season. Great writing.

3. I watched season one out of nostalgia...
But season 2 because it turned into a great character show in its own right.

2. I've really enjoyed it
It's TNG but with a more realistic look at how humans are instead of the ultra-noble impossible versions on the Enterprise. Ed mistaking a bowl of marbles for mints in the first episode set the tone. That would never happen in the Trek universe.

4. I love The Orville!
Very clever how they, in my opinion, spun the pilot as a spoof, but then morphed into spot on Gene Rodenbury-esque Star Trek when the network wasn't looking.

5. It's an entertaining show.
It's a bit uneven at times, but, overall, it's a show I record and to which I look forward.
I bought the first season of Star Trek Discovery on DVD, and I know I'm supposed to like it more because it's the more serious of the two, but I believe I prefer The Orville. |
