was so important to me as a young girl. I loved Jo’s spirit and took to my attic with pen and paper.
As an adult it tickles me to know Alcott held no illusions about her work. I will hold onto it as an old friend who is tattered and outdated, but is a good old girl. Kind of like me.

Documentary Series. This may just be PBS down here but that's where I found it...

trying it several times over the years.

It's just when they start marching all over the house, apparently re-enacting "Pilgrim's Progress", the point of which makes absolutely no sense, that I just lose all interest. It's stupid and boring and brings the book to a screeching halt.

I did like Little Men, so it's not as though I don't appreciate her altogether.
