Marlins will try lamps to revive ballpark grass
MIAMI The Miami Marlins hit the road for the next nine games, which will give their grounds crew some time to revive the fading turf at the team's new ballpark.
The grass has been turning brown because the retractable roof was closed more than anticipated in April.
(snip)
During the Marlins' trip, the grounds crew will try sun lamps to help the grass, Samson said.
"Other retractable-roof ballparks had to make adjustments for at least one or two years to get their field right," he said. "We had hoped to get it right the first time. So far it's not right. We're going to keep working and experimenting and finding a way to make it better."

Too much fish fertilizer?
Just get Ozzie Guillen to graze on the field. He is so full of shit, that would turn it green.

(7,429 posts)1. Your obsession is a little over the top
If you don't like the team, don't talk about them.
But your constant whining about a team that has nothing to do with you is really rather sad.
Why not root for a team that has actually accomplished something??
The Rockies started the same year as the Marlins - no titles for them.
The Rangers - whoops no titles either.

(20,365 posts)3. I'll tell you what's over the top.
About every other day some ridiculous news comes from Miami concerning the three ring circus that calls itself a major league baseball team.

two World Series, and the Dallas Cowboys who came into existence in 1960 have FIVE Super Bowl Championships.
Even the Dallas Mavericks have won a Championship.

I mean, Miami hasn't been relevant since that Don Johnson show in the 80's...
