Related: About this forumWould college have made Lebron a better player?
Lebron is an outstanding basketball player. He is one of the most talented players ever. But he has maturity issues at times (the announcement), and gets weird when games are tight. He doesn't want to take the last shot. I wonder if he would have been better off playing a couple years of college ball. He would have gotten some experience playing in big games. He would have been protected by his coaches. Lebron has enough experience now in big games, but I just feel like something is off. I get the feeling that some time in college might have made him an even greater player.
Of course, the same question could be asked about Kobe, but Kobe has more than proven himself in the NBA. Different guy. Different circumstances.

(16,113 posts)The "holes" in James game wouldn't have been addressed in college. If James inability to play big at critical times in key games could be fixed with some extra experience, they'd be fixed by now. He's been in the NBA a long time, and has been in a couple of NBA finals, and some of his issues still persist. As far as his physical abilities go, he'd have been head-and-shoulders above the college players and would have only spent a year in college anyway.
