....the Clippers aren't being out played, they're being out-coached. When the opposing team decides to foul your worst free throw shooter on the floor at the close of a half, you take him off the floor and replace him with a better shooter at the line even if that means giving up size. Also, when a team goes on a 20+ point run there is no reason for you to not call a time-out and draw up a play.

P.S. I hope Laker fans are planning for the day when Kobe is no longer around.

Everyone gets out-coached by Popovich except for maybe Phil Jackson but if Popovich can win a title this year he may be a better coach because it will be a title with yet another different group of players and a lesser Tim Duncan.

I'm not sure which half you're referring to. If it is the first half, DeAndre Jordan was getting fouled around the 2-minute mark so that didn't make a huge impact on the game. If it is the second half, Reggie Evans. I think Griffin & Kenyon Martin were in foul trouble and besides both are terrible foul shooters as well. The only reason I feel that Pop didn't try that on Griffin was because he was on fire that game. The whole team is terrible at free throws actually except for Williams, Butler, Foye, and Paul and three of those players were on the floor at the time when they were alternating Paul who had some foul trouble himself.

You're right about the timeouts as I see LA only called one when the run was 3-0 in favor of San Antonio. San Antonio actually called a timeout during that run giving Del Negro an opportunity to run a play.

I'm not arguing he shouldn't be fired as I have no idea if he should. But if being out-coached by Popovich is a fireable offense than all the coaches in the league currently should be receiving pink slips.
