LeBonds is the best I can come up with on such short notice. However, if anyone has a better name for Miami's arrogant carpetbagger, please feel free...I'm open to suggestions.

And congrats to LeBonds on winning his 3rd MVP award. Now, he only has 4 more to go in order to match his idol..

As you know, I originally questioned the veracity of your figures. So, you're going to have to make a decision. Either you can stick with your claim of 6' 2" 230, which comes loaded with a BMI right on the edge of obesity (0.5 away).. Or you can admit I was correct, and alter the numbers again in order to portray yourself in a more positive light....

It's up to you. I'm willing to actually accept your final word on your height and weight and then respond accordingly. Though, admittedly, I have a hard time picturing a man on the precipice of obesity chasing down and beating up bullies, but I've gotten used to your posts over the years, and there are certain elements I've come to expect...and once again, you sure haven't disappointed.

As you can see, you're well above the accepted maximum for your height. Now, I'm just a touch bit shorter than you, but I'm well within the stated parameters..and I'm close enough to your height, so that if I go and pick up a big bag of dog food from right over in the kitchen, I can pretty much tell what those excess pounds feel like.

I know you've engaged in this frequently in the past, but I only bring this up because you appear to be deteriorating, and as mentioned previously, I'm concerned for your health. The only difference here is it would appear this particular malady is exclusive to above the shoulders.

my Bonds/James comparison is primarily focusing on pro ball. A good analogy would be, say...if LeBonds had grown up in South Fla, then left, but returned to his hometown for his first big FA pay day, but we know that's not the case.

Abandoning home towns may be morally wrong to you (which makes me wonder why you no longer live in the Bay Area) but to me, it is something I couldn't care less about.

But to me, the principle is the same, leaving home to chase better opportunities which is what Bond feels that he did when he turned down the SF Giants offer to play ball at Arizona State(as well as passing on Bay Area schools if they offered him a scholarship).

However, I believe there were other factors at play for Bonds choosing to sign with SF. The size of the contract, it was more than the Yankees were willing to offer and way more than Pittsburgh was willing to offer. Also the Giants had other good players like Matt Williams. Would Bonds return to SF if they were broke and the laughingstock of the NL?
