But even they at some point must grow tired of teams not meeting expectations, blackouts, and stadiums where the opposing team has just as much support as the home folks.

It's a shame that as good as they were from over the last 5-8 years that they never even made it to a Super Bowl.
Its now time to rebuild. This is the second era of Chargers football in my lifetime where the Chargers had teams that should have won at least one Super Bowl, but didn't (1979-1984) (2004-2010).
