There was a baseball player for Houston & Cleveland in the 60's named Walt Bond. He was 6'7", but he died of cancer in 1967, so I was surprised to see the name and your indication that he was such a tall guy. I remember having his baseball card when I was a kid--which tells you I'm old and a baseball nut.
