(22,143 posts)A two man advantage with less than two minutes to go for the home team is a bit cheesy.
The league really needs to make the out of the rink delay call a judgement call rather than a zero tolerance call.
I like the Kings so I'm not going to complain too much but I'm sure the San Jose fans are livid.

(9,709 posts)I'm not all sure that puck from Vlasic didn't hit Carter anyway..handing a team a two man advantage in that situation shouldn't happen in the playoffs..let the players play.
Neither Vlasic nor coach Todd McLellan would address the issue directly, though both seemed to indicate they were not pleased with the penalty that led to the late goals by Dustin Brown and Trevor Lewis.
"You go back and look at it, it looks like it changed direction," McClellan said. "It's not going to do me any good to get up here and whine and moan about the refereeing because it's not going to get us anywhere. We took some penalties, we needed to kill them, and we move on."

(24,853 posts)a truly definitive view of whether or not Lewis was struck by the puck before it went over the glass. I'll say this much, and I swear it's true... the INSTANT the puck went over the glass I grabbed my Wife and told her "FIVE ON THREE! YEE HAW!" because I didn't see the slightest change in the direction the puck was traveling when it came off the stick and when it passed Lewis.
I'll also say the Delay of Game Rule definitely needs to be rethought. Since the league has a zero tolerance policy though, the Ref was forced to call it.
My JC baseball coach called winning games like that "winnin' ugly". I wouldn't be surprised if he said that very thing last night.
