"I'm a little biased," wide receiver Evan Spencer told reporters. "I think we'd wipe the field..."

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Urban Meyer has Ohio State right where he's had them all season in the coaches' poll -- at No. 2 -- but at least one player thinks the coach is selling the Buckeyes short.

Ohio State receiver Evan Spencer had some choice words for Alabama and Florida State on Monday. "I'm a little biased," Spencer said. "I think we'd wipe the field with both of them."

"Them" would be unbeaten Alabama and Florida State, who are 1-2 in this week's BCS standings.

The Buckeyes, who have won 21 games in a row, needed some help from Oregon to move up a spot in the BCS for the first time this season, sliding to No. 3 after the Ducks lost at Stanford on Thursday.

Hey OSU, Bama and FSU are college teams, not the high school teams you've been playing thus far!

FSU, probably. 'Bama, not so much. That's actually the game I'd like to see at this point, unless everybody loses and Stanford can break through.

several National Championship drubbings against the SEC. I don't fault them for being confident. As you've said, based on what they've been able to compare themselves to, they might even feel pretty confident in a game against the NFL's best.
