I don't even think it's that much of a debate. I'd like to see a playoff (certainly more than 1 vs 2) but given what we have, I'm not sure what the case for Ok St. really is.

OK State really got lucky that Stanford's coaches weren't up to the task.

I don't see this as an actual question. Alabama just shut down LSU.

That's as impressive as it gets.

but they deserve it based on how completely they dominated the only undefeated team in the country.

With the way the current format is set up, they are the national champs because they won (and dominated) in the national championship game. They deserve to be national champs. With that said, I am all for a true playoff system.

If we call Bama and OK State even, going into the bowls...

(Hard to say OK was clearly a better 1-loss tem)

OK beat Stanford in overtime in a great game.

Bama demolished LSU (in a boring game that wasn't as close as it's already not-close score)

I can't see OK State's argument unless it starts with "LSU sucks" which is hard to say about an undefeated regular season SEC champion.

Gotta be Bama.

Since there are no objective standards for determining a champion in college football, why not?

You know, the school that actually won a championship tournament, rather than playing well enough to impress the media and coaches.

OK State was beaten by Stanford everywhere but on the scoreboard...a missed short FG saved their ass. Alabama dominated last night..in what was one big bore. The lack of imagination on offense by LSU was frustrating to watch..clearly Saban outcoached Miles.
