1. The Raiders are

an embarrassment to Oakland and in need of a total renovation, but I don't think the 49ers are really bad. I just think the Cards have improved since last year. The NFC West is pretty much a 3-team race at this point.

2. Cards lost their best interior lineman

They also lost their best inside & outside linebacker and their best outside pass rusher is dealing w/ concussion issues.

They do have a better secondary now that Mathieu is back from injury but their starter is dealing w/ a nerve issue in his throwing arm but will have 2 weeks for it to go away. Also, Andre Ellington is now their starter w/ the retirement of their starter last year (made little sense Mendenhall got so many carries) so in that sense they improved.
On edit - Their offensive line is also healthy this season which is a big overall offensive improvement.

And hardly a peep about roller derby. Heck, it's so bad, the San Francisco Bay Bombers are playing the Los Angeles Firebirds in Sacramento!
