Levi's Stadium too hot for many fans

This was the look of 50 (ish) yard line seats in the 3rd quarter of the 49ers / Chiefs game of Week 5. Despite the close score, many ticket holders opted to watch the game from the comfort of air conditioned lounges rather than sweat it out in 90+ degree temperatures.

Not only did the stadium designers botch the opportunity to bring the 12th man effect of noise into play (some say Levi's is not even as loud as Candlestick), no one apparently gave any thought to providing more optional shade for fans. The entire east side of the stadium, which contains most of the seating, is in constant sunlight. This could be welcomed in November and December (provided fans aren't looking into direct sunlight by then), but not in September and October when the Bay Area experiences its best weather.

As expected, fans who paid for the best seats are the ones less willing to suffer any discomfort.
