Roger Federer has not given up yet -

after a disappointing Australian Open he has taken time to rest and today released his upcoming schedule:

Roger Federer
1 hr ·

I’ve been back on the practice courts for the last couple of days. Very excited to be back on the ATP World Tour at the end of the month. Below will be my schedule for the next few months:

23 Feb: Dubai
12 March: Indian Wells
12 April: Monte Carlo
3 May: Madrid
10 May: Rome
24 May: Roland Garros
15 June: Halle
29 June: Wimbledon

I am currently working on my summer and fall tournament schedule and as soon as I have it finalized, I will release it. I’m looking forward to a great 2015!

He always does well at Dubai...he can't really skip the French, but I sort of wish he would unless he appears to be playing really well at the time...

it is amazing how he keeps going. He turned pro in 1998 so that's 17 years. I keep wondering what he will do when it's finally time for formal retirement. He and Mirka have built that beautiful home in Switzerland and they do seem to like to go off the grid during off-season. But then again he is a very driven person and I can't see him sitting around all day. Maybe he'll do the senior circuit and exhibitions.

He wants to do the Olympics again...I think he wants one more Wimbledon and one more shot at the Olympics.

BTW, those photos you posted were great...but I am really happy he got rid of that long hair!

But I remember when he first broke onto the scene really when he beat Sampras at Wimbledon and all I could think of was how awful that hair looked!

...... I think he'd love to break the Wimby tie with Pete Sampras. ..... And really, what is there left for Roger to prove? How he stays as motivated as he does amazes me.

that would be a big deal for him. He did win the french, Pete did not, but he did not have to beat Nadal to do it. So getting more Wimbledons would be huge.

Honestly it's been a heck of a ride though and I wouldn't blame him if he retired today. Although I would of course miss him!
