Tampa Bay Lightning fan arrested for bringing gun to arena seat

Police arrested 27-year-old Lucas Cassidy of St. Petersburg – we’ll just go ahead and assume his nickname is “Butch” – on a second-degree misdemeanor charge for carrying his weapon into a facility where they are explicitly prohibited. According to WTSP, it would have been a felony charge if he didn’t have a concealed weapons permit for the gun.
But as the video shows, police take this thing a little seriously, as they perp-marched the guy out of his arena seat. Sweet old school jersey, though.
Obviously, this is a bit disturbing for Lightning fans who would, we imagine, not have an arena full of people packin’ heat. And there are metal detectors at Amalie Arena, but they’re really worthless if the people working the gates don't do follow up on the buzzer.
