(41,692 posts)Calling someone a murderer or rapist is rather desperate.
You telling me that Brady had nothing to do with the balls being deflated?

(78,249 posts)Mr. Brady has been suspended for several games, and the franchise you loathe so has been fined and docked draft picks.

(41,692 posts)I loathe cheating. If it was my team who was busted I'd shut my mouth.

(6,279 posts)I think the Patriots are guilty as sin of ball tampering, but that sure didn't tip that game against the Colts, either. It seems like the NFL is always just guessing when it comes to sanctions for on-and-off-field violations.
Though if the NFL is seeking press, it makes sense to start harsh, then back off (which then will set tongues wagging yet again). This is harsher than what they've done for comparable offenses, but those were also probably too weak if the league really wants to say it's serious about cheating.

(1,508 posts)This is all Goodell trying to make up for looking like such a putz last year.
It's pathetic that they're making an example out of the best player in the league based on nothing at all. No proof. No evidence. Just a "probably".
I can't believe "probably" letting some air out of the ball is being treated like a major offense.
It really is pathetic.

(41,692 posts)Seriously.... ??? there is plenty of proof.

(65,168 posts)You and i agree on a lot. Not on this one. There is not plenty of proof. Wells and the NFL botched this as badly as the O.J. prosecutors and cops did. There is no "there, there."
"More probable than not" and "likely generally aware" are light years from proof.

(41,692 posts)I'm guessing Brady's new found love for the guy who deflated the balls were nothing?
Sorry Pro....agree to disagree.
Agreeable disagreement

(9,527 posts)The OP is comparing apples to oranges. Brady's fraud was on the field. Plus several of those players were suspended longer than Brady.
