We're talking lacrosse here. Laxmen do go to the bathroom now and then, especially after the obligatory post-game kegger.
Not looking good, though. The Terps squeezed by Brown (Brown?! I thought Princeton was the only Ivy that played top-level lax?) in OT, while the Bathroom Police destroyed Loyola (MD).

(6,110 posts)UNC Women won the NCAA Lacrosse Championship today over #1 Maryland 13-7.
Tomorrow the UNC Men will play Men's Lacrosse Final, also facing a #1 Maryland team. Maryland is a strong favorite on Monday, but if Carolina plays like it did against Loyola, they can make it competitive.
You can make fun of our GOP governor and legislators, but leave our lacrosse players alone. Remember those young men and women carry big sticks and know how to use them.
Go Heels!

(78,249 posts)wrongly, as it turned out. Behaving boorishly toward women is not a crime.
How could you have missed that? GD was full of little else for weeks!

(6,110 posts)While they had acted boorishly and stupidly, they were not guilty of rape or assault. That was quickly obvious to many of us, but not to the Duke administration, the national media, or to most activist groups. BTW the victim/accuser had a major crime spree in the years following.
Didn't see the connection to my prior post.

(6,110 posts)A great overtime win over Maryland. Incredible saves by each goalie at the end.
Carolina has won both the men's and women's lacrosse national championships this weekend.
It has been a good year for Tar Heel teams this year. National titles in MLAX, WLAX, MSOC; runner up in MBB, FH; strong finishes in many other sports. Congratulations to all.

It will be hard for the Maryland men's lacrosse team to forget this championship loss.

....
This seemed like Maryland's year. The Terps had won 16 straight going into the game and even though they didn't have the big-name studs on the roster, they had as much depth as any team in the tournament. All the other prominent programs had been eliminated and the Terps had beaten North Carolina, 11-8, earlier in the season. This was the Tar Heels' first appearance in the Final Four and championship game since 1993.
Everything was set up for a parade down Route 1 in College Park.
And then the Terps lost. Again.
....
This team might not be able to cleanse this loss because unlike previous championship losses under Tillman to Loyola and Denver, this one was tight. Those others were embarrassing so this one might takes years to get over.
Hopefully, not 41 more.

(57,412 posts)I have a Boathouse Brown lacrosse jacket that I found at a thrift store, so I knew the answer to that.
Cornell? Lost in OT a few years back to Syracuse.
