I blame San Jose's renowned figure skaters.

Several of whom (Debi Thomas, Brian Boitano, Kristi Yamaguchi, Rudy Galindo) are enshrined on columns across from the ~~Shark Tank~~ Goldfish Bowl. They must have put some sort of a curse on the team, even though there's plenty of room in the park for several more rows of columns.
