From DRF: Trainer Brian Lynch is ineligible to participate in New York racing for an undetermined period, according to the New York State Gaming Commission.
His ineligibility means that Private Zone, the morning-line favorite for Fridays Grade 2, $250,000 True North Stakes at Belmont Park, will have to scratch.
Lynch is not permitted to enter horses for the time being. Royal Squeeze, whom he planned to run in Saturdays Grade 3, $300,000 Jaipur Invitational, was entered with David Cannizzo as the trainer.
A spokesman for the gaming commission would not give a reason why Lynch is not able to participate in racing, saying only, The commission determined administratively that he is not eligible to be listed as trainer on race day.
