Ok......I'm a woman, I love the NFL but can I say I 'm SICK of all the eye candy

all the sports channels are showing??? PLEASE STOP WITH THE BABES ALREADY. They've never played, they have NO idea what all the plays are, and no idea what the hell they're talking about. JMHO. The NFL, ESPN, and FAUX SPORTS have more women jabbering about football then I can stand. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me I'm NOT the only one that feels this way. Oh, ok, what the h*ll am I talking about, all guys LOVE short skirts, high healed, long haired women talking sports right??? NOT.

I tune it ALL OUT. The women, the men, the "experts," the pundits ... ALL OF THEM. They're there to perform. They're there for ratings. And not worth listening too. Terry, Howie, Jimmy, Goofy, Dopey ... pfft!

I rely on our local rag, The San Francisco Chronicle, and their fine collection of beat reporters and columnists to tell me like it is (who are both men and women, by the way ... and experienced, top-notch journalists, not performers).

I can't recall her name (Christine something?) who is actually a stats expert. You can just tell by the way she talks that she really understands the stuff she's talking about. She regularly does drop ins on Sportscenter.

My favorite is Michelle Beadle, but they are going out of their way to make the show fun and not overly serious. And, she's half sports person and half comedian, so she's not just a short skirt and batting eyelashes. Well, maybe she's wearing a short skirt. She's sitting behind the desk the entire show, so how would i even know. She could have sweat pants on.

...the Canadian equivalent of the USA sports networks.

It was bad enough when they were using male announcers, who had zero experience playing the game, exercising their seniority with the company and scoring big time 'on-air' gigs to further their careers as television stars.

However, 'stupid' wasn't getting good player or coach interviews so the networks started with the "babes" who, as rumor has it, used their charms to get the interviews. I can't watch any of them knowing that.

Just the same, the 2 idiots that call Blue Jay games, while male AND experienced in the game, are equally MUTE worthy. As the most knowledgeable of the 'television production crew', they think the game is secondary to their thoughts about baseball in general.

It's the networks fault for promoting a detachment from the essence of the sport, in exchange for something to sell ( in the great American free- enterprise tradition).
