The Rams are only on the hook for one year, but the Rams have deep pockets and a huge desire to get the fans back into the stadium, fans who have already stopped showing up to watch a lousy team play.

Sort of like what Satan did to LSU: jump between pro and college, then back -- to their bitter rival.

Becoming the highest paid NFL coach trumps being the highest paid college coach; Harbaugh likes Michigan, but loves California.

I also understand Harbaugh will insist the Rams retire the puke Rams Millenium Gold color and adopt Michigan Maize and rename it California Gold.

And, he already said no. That team is a trainwreck right now and this is a bad opportunity for him.

It would be the Bears job because of his connections to them like the Michigan job.

He was on Sportscenter with Neil Everret. He was pretty popular with the fans when he was here as well. And, since the fanbase is pretty disenchanted with Fox right now, i can see that.

But, the Bears stink too and i don't see Harbaugh taking over a team with a QB the town wants run out of town on a rail, a defense with hardly any tenure in the league and an O Line that needs upgrades at 4 of 5 positions. (To be fair, they do run block pretty well.)

I see Trotter's point, but the state of the team seems like a bad fit for Harbaugh.

. . .and is probably grateful to be out of football, considering the CTE issue. At least he has a chance of reaching middle age with his mind and body mostly intact.

He's had more than enough hits to the head to potentially lead to CTE or ALS. The NFL players are bigger/faster/stronger, but he was still taking hits from big strong athletes in high school and college.
