Dolphins defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, who was considered a leading candidate for the job after Gary Kubiak's retirement last week, is expected to be hired as the Broncos' head coach by the end of the day, sources informed of the situation told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
Joseph interviewed with the Broncos on Tuesday, two days after Miami's wild-card playoff loss to the Steelers. He then returned to the Broncos' facility Wednesday to talk to the team more before eventually being offered the job.
Even before Kubiak formally announced his retirement, Rapoport noted Joseph was considered the frontrunner for the job.
Not sure I understand how he got this job. The Dolphins D stunk this year.

(29,149 posts)especially given how adaptable he is with personnel. He led Kyle Orton to his best seasons and went to the playoffs with Tim Tebow, for crissake.
Bill Musgrave, on the other hand, I'm skeptical of.
