Do you think any team will take a chance on this guy? If I were a GM, I would not.

(16,875 posts)His instagram and social media posts don't appear to look like he's anywhere close to being sober and he looks like he's lost most of the muscle mass he had in college.
He was a great college talent but he allowed his demons and, frankly, his own hubris to ruin his professional career.

That's a big if, though.
For now, he's a leper.

(36,463 posts)If Johnny Manziel wants to return to football in 2017, it looks like he's going to have an option.
An independent football league, known as the Spring League, is set to kickoff in April, and the CEO of the league wants to include former NFL stars like Ray Rice, Vince Young and Manziel.
"If Johnny Manziel is serious about a future in the NFL, the Spring League is willing to provide him with a platform to prove he's still relevant," CEO Brian Woods told the Associated Press on Friday.
The league officially launched on January 9 with an announcement from longtime former NFL scout John Peterson, who will be serving as the league's president.

He may believe he's due beer and travel money and many experiences, but this gig actually provides free room and board.

(112,417 posts)He has shown hardly any discipline in his life during college and the past few years and it would require a major change in character to start now. It must deflate his ego to see that he receives so little publicity so this is his attempt to remain relevant.

"Yo, POTUS even I know to stay away from the notifications section on twitter. S--- will drive you crazy, lead the country and let them hate," Manziel tweeted Monday afternoon, followed by a tweet that read: "Control what you can control and let the rest fall by the wayside."
