ST. LOUIS • The city, the county and the Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority are suing the National Football League over the relocation of the Rams 15 months ago.

The 52-page suit filed Wednesday in St. Louis Circuit Court lists the National Football League and all 32 NFL clubs as defendants and seeks damages and restitution of profits.

"The Rams, the NFL, through its member teams, and the owners have violated the obligations and standards governing team relocations" because the Rams failed to meet league relocation rules, the suit claims. As such, the league has breached its contractual duties owed the plaintiffs, the suit says.

The Rams and the NFL made intentionally false statements, unjustly enriched themselves, the plaintiffs say, and interfered with business expectations.

in the relocation to St. Louis did a horrible job on the contract as far as I can tell.

I hope St. Louis is able to at least recover its costs. It is probably better off than it would if their stadium proposal had been accepted.

Then they may have some sort of case. If nothing more they may get some nuisance money out of the deal. They incurred costs that the Rams did not cover. Lots of money available to at least make St. Louis whole.

As far as the Rams going vs. spending $1B for a tax payer funded statement. Well goodbye and don't let the door hit you on the way out. I wish the Vikings had also taken that approach.

Congress needs to take a look at the antitrust exemptions. Apparently there is a heck of lot of money on the table based upon that.

7. What is wrong with Kurt Warner?

My wife went to school with his wife. As far as I can tell he is an upstanding family man. Probably doesn't belong in the HOF, but I am glad he made it. Took two teams that had little success prior to him coming and him leaving to three Super Bowls (winning one).

He worked at the Hy-Vee down the street from my house. He is very respected here in Iowa.

hope so. I get the feeling that the local politicians have all but given up on fighting Mark Davis, but I hope I'm wrong and they'll follow the lead of Cleveland (in the 90s) and St. Louis. I think there are quite a few things the City of Oakland can sue the Raiders for, including negotiating in bad faith as well as the money owed for renovations and Coliseum parking.
