has gone 3-0 to start a season. I think the Knights had a better choice of players than most of the other expansion teams in the past. They aren't going to be bad.

Which admittedly was a relocation from Quebec , but felt like an expansion because of the massive overhaul that added players like Patrick Roy , they won the cup.

Not to burst the balloon, but this can't possibly last. I'd be shocked if Vegas can finish the season at or above .500.

Also, the expansion draft was altered this year to make Vegas more competitive than new teams in the past. If used to take several years for expansion clubs to have winning seasons because the free agents available to them were so weak, so the NHL entry draft was really their only way of acquiring talent. Past expansion franchises didn't have access to a a forward James Neal or a goalie like Marc-Andre Fleury, who has been stellar in the first three games.

That said, the remainder of the roster is essentially The Bad News Bears of hockey. The 3-0 start is an anomaly. I don't mind revisiting this thread in a few months as I'm sure the Golden Knights will be showing plenty of tarnish.
