I was shocked to open this thread. So young. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

He is destined for Cooperstown for sure - very sorry he won't be there for the induction.

I saw him pitch just once, in Atlanta against the Braves. He pitched a 3-hitter and lost 1-0. (I think he was still with the Phillies then.)

He was scary as hell as a competitor. I never liked Halladay, to be honest, because he was such a fierce opponent! But I sure did respect him. He was among the best to ever take the mound.

He was so much fun to watch, and that no-hitter in the playoffs was unreal.
