None of the top-6 most highly paid NFL QBs made the playoffs this year!

Crazy stat:

Either they're overpaid or they're surrounded by a lack of talent. Make your argument.

Of course he's made plenty of money and makes plenty more in endorsements, but I know that in the past he's lowered his salary in order to free up money for other teammates (on whose success he depends, too).

He has restructured his contract to reduce his salary numerous times to make salary cap room for other players although he has had some signing bon uhhuses to compensate.

I know it doesn't really work this way in practice, but theoretically I would expect the teams that can promise a quarterback great coaching and great receivers and a great offensive line and great prospects of winning a super bowl would not need to pay its quarterbacks as much as a team that needs to build up.

For a losing team, paying extra for a top-notch qb might be a way to attract the other elements of a winning team.
