Vegas favors the Yankees to win the World Series this year

Red Sox fans chime in, in 3... 2... 1...

The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has posted the New York Yankees as -125 favorites to win the AL East, while Boston carries +140 odds.

"In baseball and sports in general, it's just natural for a team that had a season like the Red Sox had to regress a little bit. You play a lot more games when you make it to the World Series and we've seen it in the past where teams start slowly (the next season)," SuperBook oddsmaker Randy Blum told ESPN, also sharing some concerns over Boston's bullpen.

The Yankees and Houston Astros are World Series co-favorites at 6-1 odds, while the Red Sox and Dodgers have 7-1 odds.

The SuperBook betting menu offers several options, including the popular season win totals. The Yankees and Astros own the highest marks at 96.5. Boston is 94.5 and Los Angeles is 93.5.

Don't look at me. I cheer for the lowly Blue Jays and I'm just making a thread for information purposes!

Baseballs always better for me when the Yanks, Sox battle it out in the AL East. Sorry about the blue jays.

the Blue Jays have some very strong young prospects such as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette.

In a few seasons they'll be full-blown all-stars and Toronto will be back in the hunt. And then those all-stars will be lured away by the big market teams with deep pockets and the "rebuild" will begin all over again for the Jays.

NO ONE picked the 2010, 2012, or 2014 Giants either. It's a long season, rosters change, anything can happen, blah, blah, blah ...

It means I created a thread and Auggie responded to said thread. That was worth the effort in itself!

You have to be weary of odds on a Notre Dame game. There are people who will never ever bet against the Domers so odds are skewed to draw in other bettors. I’d bet the same goes for Yankees fans.

FWIW, I'm rooting for my team, the SF Giants. That is, until they crater, then I find another National League team to root for.

Let me suggest the New York Mets, in hopes that they call up one Mr. Tim Tebow!

Willie Mays got traded to them.

Last time I saw the Mets play, I was rooting for the Cubs, and it was a GREAT day for the Mets. The Mets won in extra innings, their one-hundredth win of the season, and went on to win the 1986 World Series. It was my one and only visit to Wrigley Field, and coincidentally two years before they installed the damn lights.

It was a glorious day sitting in the left-center field bleachers of Wrigley Field, and one less item on my bucket list.

But I'll be tickled pink if they make it to post season play on a wild card ticket.

Oakland and Cleveland (hometown). Both iffy, though Cleveland, at the moment, has a stellar pitching staff, starters and bullpen.

and Longoria can bounce back, but I'd have been happy to see Belt sent down the road; between Buster Posey and Pablo Sandoval, they got first base covered (It looks like the Giants may have THREE catchers on their roster so home plate is covered). And when all is said and done, the River Cats have some splendid talent itching to make it to 'The Big Game'.

Injuries did the Giants in last year. That's a fact, Jack. The Giants can perform well this year if they can just stay healthy.

Lost some big bats in the off season. Ramirez can tee off. Santana is capable of 25 dingers. Beyond that, pretty thin. They're going to need to manufacture runs via small ball and that pitching staff will have to keep opposing runs to a minimum, for sure.
