(6,356 posts)It was clearly a hand pass on replay but unfortunately that's not a reviewable call. I don't think there's any good reason for that not to be reviewable but that's just the current rule.
The ref below the goal line couldn't see Meier, and usually the other ref is on the other side of the ice high in the zone (I didn't see him in any of the replays). The goaltender and a defenseman were between the ref down low and Meier, and if the other ref were in his usual position Meier's body probably shielded the other ref from seeing the glove contact the puck.
The Blues got robbed. But it was just shitty luck. The refs seemed to be where they are supposed to be; unfortunately that meant on this particular play they couldn't see the infraction.
