TT story for you.
I was only pretty good at the game. Better than most, but knew just by watching there were people I would get creamed by.
Guy in HS was a nationally ranked junior.
He went to a culinary academy in NYC, and we took the train to visit him.
He belonged to this huge ping pong club in SoHo.
We went there and I played a handicap match against the owner. He was in his 50s.
We played to 15. I lost 15-11.
Now for the kicker....
He played with an empty 7Up bottle. I used a paddle, he used a pop bottle.
If he had a paddle, I might never have returned a shot!
