...that they've won all the Grand Slams they're ever going to. Because of this damn plague they're going to lose a year or more of Grand Slam opportunities. That means Serena Williams, in particular, is never going to get that No. 24 she's been pursuing and her fans have been anticipating. Probably not, anyway. Post-plague Venus will be 40, Serena will be 39, Federer will be 39. They've all made enough money by now that they can do essentially whatever they want. It's time now for them to start doing their whatevers.

(2,023 posts)I think they're going to try to get the U.S. Open in and also the French Open two or three weeks later. But if it's going to happen, I'll believe it when I see it. In any event, Federer has some injury he's dealing with and has already announced that he's out for a while.

(34,104 posts)and is recovering slowly and completely like he did last time. It actually works for him I guess. He is pretty good at getting back to it but that age problem is sneaking up on him.
