Maybe sports teams could rethink their presentation
A local h.s. team had to cancel their game last night, because a boy on the opposing team tested positive for Covid-19. I worry about the kids getting exposed, as well as the adults on the pro teams. I feel bad that so many people are going to have their hopes or plans disrupted because of the virus.
I wondered if for now, sports could be organized like the Punt, Pass and Kick contests, or Home Run Derbys. The teams would stay in place, but instead of games where the full teams compete against each other, the individuals would do their personal best-pitchers pitching, hitters hitting, catchers catching and score their performance somehow. And in other team sports, find a way that the athletes can continue playing, getting paid, and make it exciting for remore audiences to watch.
My husband was the sports lover and would watch any sport with a ball any time he could. I am not so much a fan, but interested in the human interest aspect and wish the best for the teams.
